The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to the community.
SASSA will probably be rendering services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency claimed it is alarmed about the superior variety of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a large variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office devoted to service the area each day. The assistance place established for website intervention encounters a superior influx of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for your Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more assets to help the servicing of all customers and boost use of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
